This is a frightening legend from Hawaii about the ghost from a boy who drowned in a lake over there. There is a small village on the island of Hawaii named Ola'a. Nobody could guess what terrible secret in the village, caused by an accident that drowned a boy a few years ago. Now, the tragedy still haunts the villagers and the children.

Back in 1974, a group of children playing on the edge of a pond, outside the village. A boy then accidentally slip from the wooden and fell into the water. Before the other kids realize it, the boy had drowned and was out of sight on the surface.

A few moments later, their waiting for him to float back, but there was no sign of him. Panicked, their ran to the neighbors to get help. Several local residents came quickly and dived into the pond, looking for a boy who drowned. They were then shocked by what they found. The boy was sitting on a rock at the base of the pond. His arm was caught and his body swim forward and backward. The eyes and his mouth wide open, but he was dead in the water.

The horrible apparition makes people who dive to save him began to shiver. They are very disturbed by what they see and say he drowned in a very strange way. Looks like the boy sat quietly on the rock and waited for him lost their lives. They then grabbed his body and dragged him to the edge of the pond. Everyone who lives in the village was very saddened by this tragedy, but after his body was buried, they seek strangeness that surrounds the death of the boy.

Since then, the terrible rumors began to spread around the area. At midnight, a resident could hear a mysterious screams coming out of the pond. At first, they are trying to calm themselves that screams scary it is caused by the wind that blows between the trees. However, over time, some people then report the strange experiences that they experienced.

Whenever they walked across the pond, they are feel something wanted to reach out and pull their feet. Many residents believe that the ghost of a boy who drowned was wandering in the dark pond water. They say, at night, he would appear on the surface, coldness, wet and shaking, his cold hands will reach the victims and pull them into the water. According to the rumors, that his spirit is trapped in the water because of the accident, and the only a way to to release the lost spirit that is to find someone to take his place at the bottom of the pond.

One day, a boy was walking with his father around the ponds. As they passed, the boy took some pebbles and slammed on the water. Suddenly, the boy cried out in fear. Something caught his leg and dragged him into the pond. The boy was scratching the ground with his finger, trying to defend himself, but it's useless. Before his father could reach him, the boy had been pulled down into the water.

His father jumped into the water and tried to find his son, but no trace was left of his son. A few minutes later, he dove deeper and eventually found his son. He was sat down on a rock at the bottom of the pond, his arms rigid, his eyes and mouth wide open, calmly swam back and forth. His father hugged his son and pulled him to the surface of the water. He was dragged him to the edge of the pond, such as dragging an inanimate object. Fortunately, the father was trying to give artificial respiration to his son. Doing all what he could and finally, his son began to rattle and the boy coughing remove the water from his lungs. His son was survived.

Since then, every parent in the village warned their children to stay away from the pond. A pastor is then asked to pray for the pond water, and the locals are believe he can stop the things that are scary. However, those who lived near the pond claimed they could hear the awful screams of the boy. Some people believe that the spirits of the children will never be restful. Today, nobody dared to cross the pond and each child who lives in the village knows the story of a child who drowned. Nobody knows when the ghost would take his victims and tried to take the lives of other children.
