In 1804, John Bell and his wife Lucy clinch and their stuff at the North Carolina get relocate to Tennessee along with their nine children. It was supposed to be the beginning of a beautiful and peaceful of their daily lives since John purchased a plot of land which when calculated around more than a 300 acres.
Unfortunately, during the period of purchase, he clashed with his neighbor Kate Batts. Kate convinced that John had been cheating to get the land, and she would never forgive him. Since then the legend begins. Kate Batts and then died in 1817, on her bed and still condemned John. She vowed that she will haunt the Bell family and all his descendants.
In early 1817, the Bell family began to feel the strange happenings in their home. Starting with an applause and the voices of scratches on the wall, not long after that an was heard a whisper. The sound was bigger and more large until it can be recognized as the voice of an old woman, but there has been no words that unrecognizable.
Then the paranormal activity that later happened to the Bell family such as clothes or blankets they were pulled and moved when asleep. Even three of Bell's children who sleep in the same bed ever woken up in the night and screamed seeing their bed clothes pulled by an invisible figure.
From there the Bell family no longer know what to do. Their stuff are in the house or around the land they were stolen or lost by itself. Their children were slapped and pinched. On the night, the wood foundation of the house sounded like there were biting, and some strange animals can be seen in the yard.
Surprisingly, this ghost paranormal activity from the most violent and the most frequently experienced by John Bell and their two daughters Betsy (Elizabeth). The screams due tormenting experience both of them seemed to bring pleasure to the ghosts. The ghost will laughed when Betsy cried, or make John look uncomfortable.
Soon afterwards it became very clear voice for the family to capture what its was saying. Repeatedly the voice said it would kill John Bell, and the any time will be target the other family members.
Not long from there, and then Betsy was attacked while asleep. She was woke up feeling cuts and bruised all over on her body. Do not know what to do, John Bell and then James Johnson invite his friend for dinner at the same time staying that night. James, who came with his wife and then witnessed with their own eyes the ghost form. They then call a witch, who are cast spells and hymns.
In 1818 This news then spread among the people who call this as 'Bell Witch' and his family's legacy also disclosed. John tried to seek refuge in the religious parties, but they turn a blind eye on this incident may be because this is related to witchcraft and witch.
People flock to the Bell house only to see the incident, or may experience it. The witch seems wants to be known even then, but never appeared, just always wanted to be heard. She was never rude or bold on visitors, and even one time will offer hands for a handshake.
The next story may be difficult to digest, but is reportedly continued to rotate among the public at that time. General Andrew Jackson (7th presidential candidate of the United States) even gather some friends and make a visit on the ground that in Adams, Tennessee just to experience the paranormal activity. Jackson's group then headed to the Bell home, carrying a number of tents, purposes and other goods in a cart. Jackson, in the midst of this confusion, and then threw a joke that this incident must act a witch call loudly to be heard throughout the land owned by the Bell family. "Well general, run the cart, and I'll see you tonight." A voice answered. Just then the cart it back running and they continued their journey.
General Andrew Jackson and his group plan to stay for a week, but ended up leaving the next day. Experiencing all the strange happenings, they could not prove that this news is just a hoax. They also pinched, slapped and their hair pulled, when Betsy of Bell cried out in pain because of bruised all over arising from the witch's actions. The story of the Jackson in the family home of Bell did not appear on his itself, but from a variety of sources.
The strange thing is the Bell family is still living in their homes for days, without ever moving.
On the October 1820, John Bell fall ill, and many believe this stroke disease given by the witch. Even though he still can continue to work, he spent more time on the bed. In December he did not wake up again in his sleep. Medicines that sent to him there are still, but when examined showed something strange. Witch seemed replace the medicine with poison, and of course led to John died.
John died at the age of 70 years precisely estimate the evil witch. The witch then could be heard singing with carefree moments of the funeral of John, and continue to be heard by their family members and their friends.
