It was my summer vacation and my parents decided to visit our old home in Lucknow. The last time I had visited it was 2 years ago when my grandpa was alive. Since then we had got no chance to visit it because of my parents busy schedule. It was a 5 hours long journey. Our house was located in a remote and isolated area. We reached there by 8 pm.

As I opened the gate, I could feel a strange presence but I ignored it. Though it was summer, the rooms were somewhat cold. The next day I was on the roof, drying my hair in the sun when I heard something falling. The sound was coming from the store room which was on the roof. I ignored it. Later in the evening my parents decided to go for a walk while I was drowsy and decided to sleep early.

There was utter silence when suddenly there was a loud bang. I was startled. I got up and started to investigate the source of the noise and found that it was coming from the roof. I went upstairs and was shocked to see the door of the store room open. As far as I remembered it was locked in the morning. I mustered up courage and went towards the room. First I peeped inside. It was dark and cold.

I turned on the flashlight of my phone and went ahead. Then I noticed that the room seemed to be burnt. it was clearly evident from the scorched and black walls and the carbonized items in the room. I picked up an old and burnt piece of cloth lying nearby and was examining it when I felt as if something touched my hairs from above.

I looked up and to my horror I saw a girl sitting on the extension of the wall. She was staring me. Her skin was partially melted and bones could be seen at places. I trembled like a leaf and then to my horror she started crawling towards me. I ran to save my life. I could hear the sound of her bones crackling. In minutes I was out of the house. I was in utmost shock. Soon my parents arrived.

I told them what I had seen. As they heard me they looked at each other in disbelief and ran inside the house and in no time came out with the bags we had brought with us and ordered me to quickly sit inside the car. I was confused but did so. After 2 hours of silent journey they broke the ice and revealed that 7 months ago, a girl was raped and was burned alive in the storeroom by the new caretaker of the house .

After the incident my father was called here for investigation purposes and the caretaker was jailed but died after 2 days under mysterious circumstances and since then a few locals have witnessed screaming from old house AS IF SOMEONE IS BEING BURNED ALIVE.
