Mary Stockum is a frightening figure from an old cemetery in Coshocton, Ohio, United States. This cemetery it is said haunted by the ghost of a woman who poisoned their own children until death. She eventually burned at the stake and beheaded her body before the burial.

According to the legend, there was a woman named Mary Stockum, who had nine children. One of her daughter suffered from mental of backwardness. Mary is also involved in a variety of the magic rituals. Her second husband killed her daughter who suffered from the disorder. But apparently, she was okay with this, because when the people know about this murder and hanged her husband for his crimes, she even swore to take revenge.

One by one, her children were left began dead from a mysterious fever. After her son the fifth dead, the residents and knowing that him who had poisoned the children. They then punish this witch and burned at the stake. Her body was buried in a tomb. But when the sixth her son was dead, they then dig up the grave, cut her throat and buried its head separated from the body in a place unknown outside the cemetery area. The young man felt he saw something from a distance, drive up to the road that grungy and out for a closer look. When he returned to his car he found his girlfriend in a state of hysteria. Her face was pale and her mouth raved like a mental patient. She then tells the young man what happened.

She said that the ghost of Mary Stockum came in a car and ask her to come into the forest. The girl was confessed scared so she asked, "For God's sake, what do you want?" She then said that the answer a ghost lady was very scary for her to be repeated.
